Thunder is rumbling in the background as I visit with you this morning. It's rather dark outside, despite it being almost 7:30am, and the air coming through the open windows smells like rain. The earth can use some moisture around here so I will sacrifice my sunshine so that everything living outside can have a drink.
This is the first weekend in awhile that we don't have anything planned. Wait, I shouldn't say that....there were a couple weekends in there that we didn't have anything "planned" per se, but son called about noon asking if he could visit. Those always turn into a cookout, playing chess, getting out the bags game in the driveway, and usually finding a movie to rent via the television set to wrap up the evening. So while we didn't "plan" it, those weekends turn into a gathering of sorts too. But I don't expect son to call today.
My scrapbook project is a little over half finished. I think my goal will be met, of getting it done by the end of September. I've been getting 2-3 layouts done per day this week, which is better than the one layout per day I was getting done last week. Going by onesies isn't going to get this project done very quickly, that's for sure!!
I asked oldest daughter for 100 favorite pictures of their European trip last summer and then she came over, the last Sunday in August, and we categorized them in envelopes as to which photos basically went together. The next envelope I'm going to grab is titled "Rome" and it's the thickest envelope out of them all. Once I get that one done, I will be on the home stretch.
Even though I *love* working on this scrapbook, I will be more than ready to move along to another craft when it's done. I'm one of those people that once I start a project, I work on it until it's finished....so, if it's a big project, monotony can set in especially if I work on it everyday as I have been with this scrapbook. I'm glad I painted the kids' yearly Christmas ornaments before I started working on this!
Well, I hope all of you have a restful weekend, if that's what you need, and a busy, fun-filled one if you don't. If you have obligations, I hope they are welcomed ones.
Much love, Andrea xoxo

I agree.. Happiness is simply staying at home. We looked at our Calendar just this morning and this is the only free weekend for the rest of the month. Grandson's wedding next weekend, Family Estate sell the next weekend and a small trip the next,. Enjoy your weekend..
ReplyDeleteI enjoy being at home too - either inside or out in the garden. It's my happy place. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
